Hello and welcome to Amor Designs blog. My blog is about the latest wedding stationery trends, including my own original and unique invitation designs, general wedding chat and things that I love and inspire me. My inspiration of design comes from the latest voguish styles, from the latest ultra-modern fashions to the traditional vintage and retro eras. Each fashion era had its own fresh style and classy look, which you will find has wriggled back in modern day styling. These timeless fashions are an important part of my design, so I hope you find my blog inspiring and you use it for your own wedding preparations.

Ritz, Glitz and all things sparkly! A bride can never have too much sparkle on their wedding day. My new Glitter pocket wedding invitations are a bit of an invitation showstopper! A stunning pocket style invitation made from all glitter. I am in love with them. The glitter invitations have separate inserts inside. You will be able to add your main wedding insert and then an RSVP card. The inserts are printed on a quality 300gsm card in white or ivory depending on the colour of your glitter card. For now I stock Silver and Gold but will have a rose gold glitter coming soon, which are a little larger in size but so sparkly and beautiful.
So here is the first design, with added sparkle! The glitter pocket invitation has been designed with a pale pink ribbon and a diamante brooch. It is just stunning, and perfect for wedding couples looking for Glitzy wedding invitations.
Woohoo I made it! Amor Designs has been officially shortlisted for a Best Wedding Stationery Award by Bridebook.co.uk
This is very exciting news. The shortlist was from over 70,000 other bridebook suppliers, so I am thrilled with the news. The finalists and winners in each category will be chosen on March 1st 2017 by Bridebook experts and industry experts. So watch this space.
Here is the official badge. Well I am excited now, imagine if I won! As it is Friday, I'm off for a well deserved celebration. Thank you to all that voted and helped me to get to this stage. I really appreciate it.
Wedding proposals are not just for the ladies in the wedding party. Your Bestman, Ushers and Pageboys should also be asked if they will be by your side on your wedding day. I wanted to design something masculine for the men in the bridal party, something a little different but quirky, handsome and cute. I hope you love the designs I have made below. The cards can all be purchased on my online shop and at just £2.95 each they are a bit of a bargain. The cards are supplied with a personalised envelope too, so all you need to do is hand your special card to your Bestman, Usher or pageboy.
This unique card with Top Hat is an original design from my new collection. I wanted to design a card with a top hat and incorporate small flower design in the card. I love this card, and it has little sparkly crystals which finish off the design. The fonts I have used for the name are swirly and for the role of the handsome man have also kept the swirly fonts. What handsome man wouldnt want to receive a gorgeous card like this?
This adorable Bestman, Usher or Pageboy card below I am in love with! The card features a cute stick man with a tophat with a small flower rose detail and diamante crystal in the centre. These would be perfect for a pageboy, so sweet and adorable. The card is finished with a grey bow and is supplied with a personalised envelope.
My last wedding proposal card is a little more elegant, and features wedding suit and bowtie with the buttons having crystals for a little sparkle. The bow tie is grey and the card is personalised with bestman, usher or pageboy name.
My original Will you be my ..... designs can be purchased at my online shop. If you want any of the cards customised with your own wording just ask, they can be personalised with anything you like.
A while ago I ordered some beautiful Laser Cut Envelopes from my supplier, with the intention of designing a new invitation collection. I wanted to create something unique and fresh, a new design without the bling but keeping the invitation elegant.
So here is the first new invitation collection for 2017, a beautiful Rustic Style Laser Cut envelope that's laced with pretty lace detailing. I have kept this rustic design simple, but at the same time I love how elegant the invitation looks with all its lace and pearl detailing. The rustic invitations have matching laser cut envelopes and the design is finished with a dreamy flowy thin ribbon bow in ivory to complement the ivory pearlescent laser cut envelope. The intricate detailing of this beautiful textured card gives the appearance of lace on card. It has a slight pearlised texture to the card allowing the invitation to shimmer in any light.
The fonts used in this design have been chosen for their flowy rustic elegance, to keep the invitation stylish with lots of charm. There are 2 fonts used, a beautiful elegant Script bold font that has swashes and swirls for the Names of the Bride and Groom, the guests names and rsvp and for the rest of the wording a rustic country western font that complements the whole design really well.
Rustic style can be mixed with soft accent colours, like blush pinks, sage green colours, any light and airy neautral colour goes well with rustic. You can create Vintage rustic, shabby chic and elegant wedding schemes.
This is my other new laser cut design below, a more elegant and feminine invitation that would be ideal for a spring or summer wedding. I have used soft palette colours as accents for the floral inserts, to keep the Laced envelope the star of the show. The front of this beautiful laser cut envelope has been adorned with a soft fabric rose with pearl detailing in the centre.
The inserts have been printed on shimmery pearlescent card and have a gorgeous flower border. To make the invitations extra special I embellished the flowers with tiny pearl and crystal embellishments. The invitation looks classy and stylish and the detailing is all in the lasercut design of the envelope.
I hope you love these designs just as much as i have loved designing and creating them. If you do want a sample just go to the online shop.
